Online College Cost Calculator

College costs have skyrocketed in the last decade. According to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the price for undergraduate tuition, along with room and board, at public institutions rose by 40 percent, while prices at private nonprofit institutions rose 28 percent, adjusting for inflation.

However, prices can vary depending on the type of university you attend. (See: Is Online College Cheaper?). For the 2013-2014 school year, the average price of a college education at a private college was $30,094, while state residents at public colleges paid $8,893 and out-of-state residents paid $22,203, according to the NCES.

To help with the vital process of researching college costs, we've developed our College Cost Calculator tool using data from the National Center for Education Statistics. Students can search by degree level (Associate, Bachelor, Graduate), school type (Public, Private) and state.
